Pam Pistiner

Pam Pistiner is the Program Manager at Kesher Newton.  Pam has always been an active participant in the Jewish communtiy. After graduating college, she spent close to a year in Israel on Project Otzma, a leadership fellowship which focuses on community service. Upon her return to New York, Pam completed her Master’s degree in Secondary English Education, and taught in both high school and middle school. Pam has also taught in Hebrew schools for the past nine years. Pam loves the flexibilty that teaching, especially in a Hebrew school environment, has given her in order to spend more time with her sons, Scott (7) and Benny (5). Pam will be teaching the Te’enim (grades 6 and 7) and Kitah Zayin in Ivrit, in addition to leading Kesher’s Rosh Hodesh group.

Sarah del Castillo Benhaim

Sarah del Castillo Benhaim is Kesher’s Hebrew Coordinator, one of the Nitzanim teachers, and also teaches Kitah Daled in Ivrit. Sarah has been at Kesher Newton for five years. She hails from San Diego, attended UC Santa Cruz, receiving a BA in Philosophy and Religious Thought, completed her Master’s Degree in Jewish Studies at Hebrew College, and has a wealth of experience in working with Jewish children in various educational settings.

Yael Rubinstein

Yael has been with Kesher Newton for three years teaching Nitzanim, Anafim and Kitah Gimel in Ivrit. She is a cellist and native of Israel with a bachelor’s degree from TelAviv University and master’s degree from Mannes College of Music in New York. She arrived in Boston three years ago for graduate diploma studies at the New EnglandConservatory.

Rena Gray Fein

Rena teaches Shorashim and Kitah Alef at Kesher. She holds a BA in Near Eastern and Judaic Studies from Brandeis University and Master’s degrees in both Jewish Education and Jewish Studies from Hebrew College. At Kesher, Rena draws on her experiences as an educator in a variety of venues, including Jewish supplementary special education, day school, and family camp. As a freelance Jewish educator, Rena writes curriculum and is a frequent contributor to BabagaNewz.com

Liad Carmel-Ulitsky

Liad Carmel-Ulitsky is a native of Israel visiting the US for a few years with her family. She has a bachelor’s degree in Biology and Computer Science from the Bar Ilan University and is working on her MBA. Before coming to Kesher, she worked as a graphics designer in Tel Aviv. Liad arrived in Boston in 2009 and is entering her third year at Kesher. Liad teaches Kitah Vav in Ivrit and Shorashim.

Rebecca Price 

Becky Price grew up in the Chicago area, moving to Boston to study at Emerson College where she earned a BA in Theatre Education. She returned to Boston recently after completing the WUJS program in Tel Aviv. Becky teaches Anafim as well as Kitah Bet in Ivrit, and this is her second year with Kesher Newton. When not at Kesher, Becky teaches Drama at Oak Hill Middle School in Newton and works with Theatre Ink at Newton North High School.
