Teaching at Kesher

Kesher Newton is always on the lookout for creative, self-motivated Hebrew and Jewish educators who are full of ruach and love working with children in a unique setting. Teachers at Kesher are committed to Jewish education and their own professional growth. Teaching positions are generally for 24 hours per week, Monday-Thursday from 12:00-6:00 pm.

Executive Director, Jewish After-School Program

Are you an inspiring Jewish educator and leader looking for a unique and exciting opportunity?  Kesher Newton is seeking a new director to lead all aspects of our growing program, which educates students from kindergarten through high school in a lively after-school environment.

Kesher Newton is an independent, nationally recognized alternative to traditional Hebrew schools, where children learn Judaics and Hebrew language in a spirited camp-like setting.  Kesher Newton’s innovative curriculum challenges students intellectually while fostering a strong Jewish commitment, joy of learning and active community participation.

Our director will oversee and develop our programs, mentor and supervise our teaching staff, manage all financial, marketing and operational aspects of Kesher Newton while building support within the larger Jewish community.  The ideal candidate is an experienced academic administrator and teacher with Hebrew language proficiency, deep Judaic knowledge and a solid understanding of child development and multi-modal learning styles. He or she will also possess excellent organizational, management and communication skills.
